BIOBANK – QIMA Life Sciences gets access to skin explants thanks to its extensive clinical network. Indeed, it relies on a network of hospitals, veterinary clinics and private industrial companies that makes it possible to collect, store and condition human skin and its appendages for their use in research programs. To advance our understanding of skin and hair pathology, we established the first “Hair and Skin” Biobank, offering well-documented biomaterials for the discovery of novel biomarkers and the treatment of hair and skin diseases. GENOMICS & TRANSCRIPTOMICS – We provide transcriptional analysis services for both biological samples and pre-prepared RNA or cDNA, including gene expression assays, transcriptome or miRnome microarray assays, and bioinformatics analyses. In addition, we offer customized services for the design and validation of primers and probes for PCR, the design and preparation of qPCR arrays, single cell RNAseq, in situ hybridization, genome editing, and cell line engineering. Furthermore, we have developed an interactive transcriptome database specifically designed for hair follicle research.
HISTOLOGY – We perform histological and immunohistochemical assays on tissue samples, human or animal biopsies, blocks and slides. Our histology platform is equipped with optical and electronic microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and slide scanners. We perform histological staining assays (about thirty standard and special histological stains) and can combine up to 4 targets in immunostainings. . PROTEOMICS – Our cell biology platform enables us to detect, measure, and assess protein expression levels in cells. We offer a range of immunology assays, including standard methods like ELISA and Western Blot, as well as advanced techniques like flow cytometry (FACS), immunocytochemistry (ICC), and FRET. These methods allow us to identify specific proteins and, in turn, the cells of interest. Depending on the level of detail you require, we can provide simplex or multiplex studies, analyzing either a population of cells in a sample or hundreds of individual cells. FRESH WHOLE BLOOD – With its specific « Blood Assay Solutions » offer, QIMA Life Sciences can provide in vivo assays on fresh primary cells from total fresh blood.
